Question From A Reckless Friend
“Dear Letty, I left a candle burning all night (by mistake) my house didn’t even slightly catch fire does this mean that all health and safety information is nonsense? ” - A reckless friend

Dear Letty, are you now just answering ukulele related questions or can we still ask you anything ? If so I feel I need a new direction in my life, please could you make me a map. I will leave the choice of place etc to you Pedro xx

“I have done a lot of travel with work over the past few years and seen many amazing sights such as the diversity and beauty of Costa Rica, to the amazing countryside in Brazil, and recently to the crazy cities of Shanghai, Taipei and Hong Kong where East has met West in a big way… but in all of these far off places and those closer to home that I have gone to like Spain, Italy, France and Turkey they all appear to have (at least) 2 things in common despite being all over our planet.
Firstly they all have something to offer that is unique, beautiful or different and offer us something to learn. But secondly and more importantly there is always such a big divide (in some countries more than others) between the super rich and the super poor.
Do you think this is just the way we have come to accept? And it will always exist like it does today ? Or it will get better? Or it will get worse?
I don’t believe in a utopian world, but I always find it is so unfair – what would you do if you had the power to change it?
Good luck with the project! It’s a great concept and you will learn a lot about people no doubt!
Take care. ” - Matthew

If you could be friends with anyone in the world who would you be friends with and why? Anon

“I hope you are not offended by this. I wondered why you decided to study art over a real, useful subject like maths? ” - Anon

Dear Letty…. why do I find it so hard to throw things away? And even when I do I need to know it has gone to a good home..? Helen

P.S I’m sending you a thing to keep and a thing to throw away.

“Hi Letty, a man on the radio just said that we are all made of stardust! Personally I doubt this, what do you think. Pedro xxx”

P.S. I made you this, for if you ever loose sight of the stars.

“Hi Letty - my son is a typical 11 year old. He does everything at one speed unless it is something he really enjoys in which case he is super quick and energetic. What we really need is speedier mornings! Can you help?
PS I did try to sign in as I don’t necessarily wish to be anonymous but I don’t have a URL I’m afraid so was unable to sign in and I don’t seem to be able to include my e mail address in this message either. Thanks and good luck with the project!” - Anon

PS. You have to have tumblr account to sign in, if you don’t want to be anon the best thing to do is just write your info in the ask box or in the email, I promise not to give them to anyone else.

n,
Hi Letty!
your project sounds really interesting…
Here is what I want to say: Money, it seems really is the route of all evil. Right now I’m studying in Japan this year and 1/4 of us exchange students at my uni receives a gigantic scholarship every month, whilst the rest of us get nothing. Now, I’m not a great money lover, I think you don’t need money to be happy, I’m not a buyer of expensive goods or anything, but this is truly the first time in my life that money has made me so angry. It allows you to do more stuff, it’s comforting to know you have it…and when one of you has lots, and the others have none, tensions rise.
I really just wished money didn’t exist, we’d all be so much happier and less greedier!!
That’s all, I do feel a bit better for getting that out :)
